About Me

I am currently a fifth grade teacher in the Lake Orion Community School District at Webber Elementary.  This is my third full year teaching in the district.  I was hired in March 2008 to teach third grade.  Due to changes in enrollment, I was moved to first grade where I spent the last two years.  This past year, for the 2010-2011 school year, I moved to fifth grade, again, due to enrollment changes. I really enjoyed teaching first graders and I learned so much but I knew that my heart was with the older elementary students as I did my student teaching in a fifth grade classroom.  I would not trade my first grade teaching experience for anything but I am happy to be in fifth grade.  It has been an excellent year of learning, both for myself and for my students.

In addition to teaching and finishing up my masters degree, I have been busy planning my July 16, 2011 wedding to my fiance Michael.  I also enjoy working out, shopping and spending time with my family.
